Some ideas I think would be cool additions to the game :D
Placeable Spawners that spawn certain amounts of troops over intervals of time, but cannot exceed a maximum count of active units already spawned by it. The troops that spawn, the amount of time needed to spawn them, and the maximum amount of active units from each Spawner can be customized by the Player in custom battles. This could result in longer battles and can be used for creating separate waves of attacking units, reinforcements for when battles get difficult, a constant force of attackers and other miscellaneous purposes that the Player can create.
More Randomness in the Random Battle gamemode. At the moment it always follows the same algorithm when generating a random battle(outnumber the player and its forces). Also, the objective of EVERY random battle is to reach the end point. perhaps an intense King VS King battle or a Deathmatch massacre randomly decided by the game?
Custom Units for Custom Battle. Perhaps the player wants to lead an army of pitchfork-wielding Vikings with ight armor, or a squad of unarmored fire swordsmen? The Player would be able to create and save their own combinations of equipment for NPC units, which would inspire further creativity in battle!

JNI will create a modern spinoff of Ancient Warfare. Once Ancient Warfare 2 is finished, he'll begin working on it, and trust me, there will be a lot of guns. Goblins and Dragons sound awesome though!
I was wondering how you shoot farther with siege weapons like the bots do. And also it says extra large terrain could only be used for an ocean map. Has that map come out yet and i'm stupid enough not to find it? If it is out, how do I find it?
Hello developer.I suggest you to increase the Katana and other weapons damage .Katana damage is 95 because 95 is too low.Why sword has more damage than Katana (100 and 95).Katana has curved blade making it more deadlier,but the sword has straight blade.But there's more,wood stick and farmer's pitchfork (30 and 25) what???Wood stick is blunt pitchfork is sharp,that's weird! Why you add wood stick damage 5 points higher than pitchfork?
Hi, thanks for your feedback. I willddo some balancing when I have time for it. There is just one thing that you should know: Weapons like the katana and the sword will kill with one hit if they will hit a bodypart. They will only cause damage if they hit the armor.So, I think that a sword will deal more damage than a light katana if it hits armor, you know?
I defeat three more lords from the level bundle! The levels are getting very hard and i ended cheesing every second one, but i'm still loving the levels! :)
those aren't bugs....you might have to be in king vs king mode for you not to spawn a million kings (as it says when you click on the king thing to place one down that it will act as a normal unit without king vs king)
the rolling logs can be placed,you just have to click in the right spot
the ground traps are like units and I'm pretty sure you can stack units too

For some reason when I have lots of hand cannons fighting against each other they either wont stop walking and never shoot at each other, or the walk past each other and shoot each other, then continue to walk, and so on. Also what's the difference between a camel and a horse, because they seem to act very similar.
So in custom battle editor, I click save, and the folder browser pop up. And if I click any sub folder inside, It does not respond. So I can not save anything.

alligator (not as strong as the crocodile,but it is much faster then it.it also has trapjaw)
Gator King (stronger then the crocodile,but is slower then it.it has super trapjaw (it bites faster then regular trapjaw by a lot)and it has another special thing:king of gators (spawns alligators and crocodiles every few seconds)
As long as the game is free, I can't pay the required server space. If I find a solution to get enough server space, I will immediately add this feature.
Today I decided to try out a few new ideas that I had.
I created Donald Trump and his great wall vs the Mexicans, AND THEN, I made a huge Australia and set the red team against the blue team to see if they could take my beautiful country from me or if I could defend it!
hey JNI you sould make it in the costum battle thing where if you put your mouse over a unit it shows the units health sound like it might end up being in the game
Very pleasantly surprised at how fun this game actually is. I decided to push the limits with a 1,016 unit battle. My PC may or may not have survived the endeavour lol.
aquatic fish should be able to be on a team (red and blue) so fish that are on the red side only attack blue,not other reds.and there should be just random fish (for example:a shark that isn't on red or blue)
swordfish(they jump out of the water and slice enemys to pieces special thing about this fish:it ignores armour)
pikefish(does less damage then a swordfish and can ignore armour too)
piranha (does little damage but does a lot in swarms special thing about fish:brothers in fins((if a piranha is near another piranha,both piranhas get a damage boost))
blue whale (a super big whale that belly flops onto ships)
squid (special thing:ink ((when its hurt it will let out a bunch of ink that stuns and hurts enemys))
boss aquatic animals:
mega piranha(a super big piranha that also has brothers in fins and does more damage then a regular piranha)
megalodon(a very big shark that does a lot more damage then a regular shark and has bloodlust((sometimes will get a sudden burst of hunger and do even more damage then usal))
sharks should also have bloodlust
kraken (a huge squid that will grab ships and pull them down to the bottom of the ocean special thing:lord of squids ((spawns a bunch of angry squids that attack everything))
Moby Dick (a very very very large white whale that belly flops onto ships and does double damage against squids and the kraken and it does more damage then a blue whale)
Leviathin(bigger then Moby Dick and it swallows ships whole special thing:Lord of Aquatic ((can spawn any fish even bosses and spawns water warriors that are very strong and can spawn with any armour and weapon and shield))
that's all I can think of.hope you like it JNI and anyone else who reads this.it took forever to make.

I will add some of this then I have the time.
Next update (26th February) will heavily improve the performance. I have one last problem and if all goes well, I will increase the performance from 35fps to 60+ fps with 100 melee units. I will write more details about that in the next devblog.
The new movement system will also allow me to add unflat terrain, maybe aI will add that, too.
There will be many fixes and small new features. More procedural battles (sieges and deahmatch).
Of course the ocean battles and I would like to improve the graphics, too.
Once I finished the new AI system, I would like to update the experimental versions to test the performance on other computer. But this will take about a week, because I can't work at the AI the whole time, because it's really exhausting.
man i can,t wait to see ocean battles they look like a lot of fun and now you put some sharks into the mix of the ocean battles and the ships look awesome and i hope there is at least 5 ships to use in the ocean like i seen one ship so far and i hope to see some big ships and i also wanna see a kraken added to this game
Quick question, Will level bundles become user made levels? Or will they be levels created by you? Would be cool to see what people have to show though, I am not a proggramer though, So im not sure if its easy to do something like this or if its hard, I would assume making things that involve this kind of stuff is pretty hard, but if you do plan on making it like this, take your time, no one is rushing you

JNI i hade a blast playing the first level bundle and thanks for makeing this for us and removeig the campain was a great deal and keep up the great work hope the next level bundle is just as good as the first one and your game is starting to have some back story to it and hope the game can go on for a long time :)

Idea: Downloadable player-made levels and bundles. Sharing and playing epic battles made by other players would be awesome!

It's not released yet and the extra large terrain will only be available on direct x11+ gpus.

Yes, because every sharp weapon will cut the bodypart, which will cause the death of the enemy.

Yes. That should be damage / 2.

I have linux mint rebecca,how to start the game? I click the 2 file (x86 and x86_64) i can change only the screen but the game not run :(
Can you send me the output_log.txt, which is in the AncientWarfare2_Data directory. I would also like to know which version number your os has.
17.1 but the output_log.txt not exist because the game not run...I have serched manual and using the function search but file not found :(
Ok, it looks like as if your os is not supported. I will do some research. Maybe it will work after the next update, because I updated the engine.

I found some bugs wile messing around in custom battle:
You can place infinite kings of any color.
Rolling logs can't be placed.
All ground traps can be infinitely overlapped.

the rolling logs can be placed,you just have to click in the right spot
the ground traps are like units and I'm pretty sure you can stack units tooso really none of these are bugs.
what are the full controlls?
You can see them in the settings... In addition there is WASD for movement and right mouse to look around in spectate mode.

Make sure that you have extracted the game. Otherwise I would suggest to redownload it.

I will test the hand cannons problem. Camels have more health and their riders have more attack range than horse riders.
I try out the new Level Bundle! Managed to complete the first few levels and really enjoyed it! :)

I have a few suggestions for water:
crocodile (doesnt do a lot of damage per bite,but its special thing is what makes it good:trapjaw (bites very very very fast))

The ships will be controlled like the siege weapons and the player will be able to control ships, too.

At the moment I'm still working on optimisations, but after that, I will start to create a few ship models.

Check if your internet is working and if the game has the rights to use it. Bundles will download, I tested it many scenarios.
