equidment and rides:
-glide -baloon -dark knite armor and dark knite armor -long sword andbig blade
To deselect, you have to press escape. To delete, you have to select the units and press the delete key, or whatever key you have assigned in the settings.
I also think the Pathfinding is a bit wrong, when i put a Elephant inside a castle, instead of walking to the gate and go fight the enemies, he just go break the walls so he can get out. :(
There is no real pathfinding. I decided to don't use A*, because I wanted the units to be a bit stupid. You can either change the unit behaviour to guard mode, or place the elephant directly in fron of the castle
Sounds cool! and the PvP server you were talking about could be like the gladiator arena but you cant pick weapons up and each kill gives you 1 coin.and the costs would be different on shields,weapons,and armour.for example:
sword 5 coins
spear 10 coins
pike 20 coins
helmet 15 coins
bow 10 coins
kinda like that but these don't have to be the cost for the things.
I don't have a date for that. I first want to finish Ancient Warfare 2. I don't mean end the development, I want to bring it to a state, which could be the end of development.
The game will reach this state in about 1-2 months(2-3 updates). Then I will start to create the modern spin off.
About the spin off:
I will use the custom battle editor and the level bundles. All other gamemodes will be removed and the content will be replaced with modern stuff from WWI, WWII, modern and maybe future content.
Of course, I will make adjustments to the AI and other systems.
Update: I got help from my brother for the spin off. We started the planning today and he will start with the modelling now. So maybe the spin off will be released soon!

HEY there! just wanted to say that i love your game, and with the recent uptade even more. but i have a few questions...did you eleminate the default castle? i can´t find it...and one more, i have a good laptop with an i7 5500u and a amd radeon r7 m260 with 4 gb of ram and windows 10. i want to play like 100 vs 100 men with a siege and i cant even do it with like 60 from each side....and on totally accurate batlle simulator i have no problems...or other games like rome 2 total war with many units its just fine. so please invest a litle bit in performance optimizations!
but i have to say that you have a great game there, with many cool features!

Hey mate, thank you for your feedback! I think I wrote it in my last devblog, but I removed the old castle from the game, because there is a new system for buildings now and I don't want to integrate the old castle system in the next versions.
I'm still working on the performance. I know there the problem is and I will find a solution soon.
When the modern version comes out, I have a great idea for a video. But I need your permission because it's controversial. I will use riflemen, make battles, and add German military marches. I haven't started the development, but since I have all code from Ancient Warfare, I just have to create new content and rewrite the AI. You can expect it in about 2 months
So Jannik, I'm pleased to see you took my idea of adding armored horses! And I'm really happy for that. Let's get to the point. Here is my idea what to add and a bug.
Idea: Armored horses with armored riders/knights!
Bug: Archers shoot the enemies without looking at them which kinda ruins the cinematic part.
Hey mate, it's a good idea to add armored riders to the armored horses.
I'm aware of that bug. There is a hotfix to fix this behaviour if the unit is not on a castle wall, but I think there will be another hotfix for this issue soon.
It's just a bit slower. But it's better than the old one, because it doesn't freeze the application, which is a big problem on slower computers and it's a bit slower, because I can do some more optimizations for the runtime in the new system.
Oh ,ok. I have to just spend 5 euro on steam (because accounts that haven't buyed anything on steam can't do anything) And then i'll support you on Steam Greenlight.

i have an idea there should be people with guns.
The game is named "Ancient" warfare. There won't be guns in this game. I will create a modern spin off with modern content.

There are horses, elephants and I'm working on a camel right now. So, there are animals.
camel awesome can,t wait to see the camelI have some suggestions for animals:
wolf (not rideable and is good against horses)
giant wolf (rideable and is good against elephants)
coyote (not rideable and sometimes will jump on enemys)
cheetah (not rideable and is very fast)
tiger (rideable good against coyotes,wolfs, and horses)
lion (rideable good against tigers)
special animals:
phoenix (rideable flys and is immune to fire and when it is hit by melee the soldier who hit it will catch fire and shoots flames that burn enemys)
giant cheetah (rideable faster then a regular cheetah)
griffin (rideable flys and grabs enemys and drops them from very high up and bites enemys)
that's all I can think of and I think this game is better then TABS also hope you like my suggestions JNI.
I will think about it. I think it would be cool to ride a tiger or lion :D

Chariots are already on my list, but armored chariots are even better!
I want to give you the ability to place you own units on the chariot.
The camel is nearly finished and will be in the next update.

could you add ladders? Because every time i make a castle i always wanna climb it.
Here are some ideas for the game:
Different mortar shells (each has own mortar)
1. Standard shell: Is good against castle walls and towers
2. High Explosive shell: Is good against a lot infantry, sort of good against castle walls
3. Poison shell: good against infantry, poisons infantry and animals in a radius of your choosing
Poison trap: will poison the person who walks over it (lasts 2 times before being destroyed)
Overall, it is a really good game! I also supported it on Steam Greenlight! :D

A trick to rotate faster is to rotate with the keyboard and use the mouse scroll wheel at the same time.

That's really difficult, because I want to keep the movement simple, because the game is very minimalistic. But I will think about it anyway.

ideas for buildings and traps
-chests( rare and random on the map you can find equidment in ) -metal wals -spike hole trap -falling trees

Thank you for your feedback. I will increase the the speed of the camera. But did you know, that you can speed up the camera by pressing shift?
The performance isn't the best. I know where the problem is and I will add a new movement system soon, to heavily improve the performance.
